DEADLINE EXTENDED till Sunday, April 7th – OPEN CALL 2024 – English

HUJ:C Nexus Intensive Residency & Solo Exhibition Program
at B.L.O. Ateliers – Lockkunst e.V. (Berlin, Germany)

OPEN CALL

HIER & JETZT: Connections (HUJ:C) is an exchange and residency program organized by artists for artists. The project invites artists in exile, who live in Berlin, to participate in HUJ:C’s Nexus Intensive Residency & Solo Exhibition Series. HIER & JETZT: Connections defines exile as the involuntary loss of one’s social context and working environment in their country of origin for an uncertain period of time.

Applicants should submit a proposal that outlines their intended exhibition project and work plan. Three artists or artist groups will be selected by a jury composed of HUJ:C alumni and artistic directors.

Successful applicants will work at B.L.O. Ateliers in Lichtenberg for a period of 10 weeks. At the end of their residency, they will set up a one-week exhibition in the studio space. Each artist or group will be awarded a 500 EUR exhibition fee. Additionally, artists will have the opportunity to present their work in an artist talk and engage with the HUJ:C artist network during a ‘Salon’.

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS: Sunday, April 7th, 2024, 23:59
